The Floating Studio is a new artist-run public art project in Helsinki, currently in progress. The floating studio, planned to the shore between Kalasatama neighbourhood and Mustikkamaa island, will be a working space of the two visual artists. It will also function as a gallery and a venue of different art and culture events. This blog gives an overview of the process of the construction of the studio, and the activities/events taking place there.

The Studio is now floating! The three blocks of the building are lifted onto the base and attached.
Before lifting, the base was prepared with insulation materials and plywood.
